I’m not an expert! I only add an identification to the sightings if I’m “reasonably sure”, but there’s definitely room for error. In particular, there will always be greater uncertainty in the species than in the genus, especially for prolific speciators such as insects and spiders.
And the information I present is gleaned from many different sources — please do not assume that I actually knew most of this before I started writing the entry. I’m learning as I go along.
