Mid spring, first bug walk of the season in the US.

Diptera

Sciaroidea, maybe a fungus gnat

Is this Microdon? Brachypalpus? I don’t really know.

what a stunning stunning Tipulid. Could be Tipula, Nephrotoma, or something else.

Anthomyiidae?

Maybe Syrphus?

Spiders

Leucauge venusta and prey. Leucauge venusta is an early season staple.

Naphrys pulex

Another early season staple. Cyclosa conica

Coleoptera

Elateridae, with a mite

no bugs

So many, many, many skunk cabbages
